After the postponement and then cancellation of Wings Over Illawarra 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Wings Over Illawarra is finally set to make its much-anticipated return.

The 27th & 28th of November will see Shellharbour Airport in the picturesque Illawarra region come to life, as thousands of pilots and aviation enthusiasts celebrate the return of major events in Australia.

Wings Over Illawarra 2021

The 2021 installment of Wings Over Illawarra promises to be an exciting one, with a diverse program including both static and flying displays of historic, military, modern and aerobatic aircraft. Vintage car and motorcycle displays will also feature on the weekend, as well as plenty of activities for little ones. In addition to this, the 2021 event has expanded to include the NSW Drone Expo, the Oz Flight Sim Expo and a General Aviation Precinct offering underwing camping for those wanting to fly in.

2021 is also the centenary year for the Royal Australian Air Force, with Wings Over Illawarra 2021 celebrating that milestone with the Australian Defence Force and presenting a magnificent flying display to mark the occasion.

There’s bound to be something for everyone at this year’s Wings Over Illawarra, we can’t wait to see our members packing the stands for this grand return of airshows in Australia!
