DISTRICT ATTRACTIONS

Wynyard is a small town, located next to the Bass Strait with Table Cape, the remnant of a long extinct volcano, towering above it. Table Cape lookouts, lighthouse, tulip farms and Fossil Bluff (a cliff full of ancient fossils) are a must-see for the local visitor . Wynyard is less than two hours drive from the world-renowned Cradle mountain and surrounding National Park. As you fly along the scenic coast there are a number of airfields for you to practice the approach techniques and skills needed for cross country flying. If you are a local learning to fly you will appreciate the beauty of your home from the air. If you are a visitor you may never want to leave!
