TRAINING AREA NOTES:Operating within a CTAF means less radio clutter, you only listen to other aircraft within the CTAF, giving you more time to concentrate on your flying training. This is the only ultralight Flight Training Facility in N W Tasmania. Situated on the beautiful N W Coast, flying over some of the most productive rural and agricultural land in Tasmania, with plenty of outlanding areas available, plus the added bonus of truly picturesque views of the Bass Strait Islands and lovely beaches and inlets. | |

ACCOMMODATION & SOCIAL ACTIVITIES:Accommodation is available in Smithton (only 4 km away) with two hotels / motels / self contained units. There is a variety of eating places available, including sit down / take aways etc.Aerodrome terminal building with lounge area and toilets, taxis and free phone for local and 1800 numbers available. DISTRICT ATTRACTIONSThere is the most beautiful scenery to see from the air, or you can drive (rental vehicle is available) to points of interest and, climb The Nut at Stanley, walk clean secluded beaches, treck through rain forests, walk beside a waterfall, take a river cruise, visit manufacturing/processing plants, stroll through award winning gardens, just to mention a few. |
