TRAINING AREA

The training area has large open areas well clear of towns and houses. Soon after takeoff you will see the Brisbane Ranges, the massive Colac Lake system and Corio Bay all below you, a magnificent view to inspire you into a life of flight. Our cross country training is conducted into some of the most beautiful country in Victoria including Gippsland, the Grampians, the Pyrenee Ranges to Swan Hill and along the Great Ocean Road. The airfield operates 7 days a week.


ACCOMMODATION and SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

Lethbridge Air Park is also the home of Geelong Sports Aviators. With over 100 members they are one of the most active aero clubs you will find anywhere, with many trips away and rallies every year. Every Saturday a $5 'all you can eat' lunch is served and on good weekends several aircraft will fly in to join us for the food and lots of hangar talk! There are over 50 aircraft hangared at Lethbridge Air Park.

We have a accommodation on site with shower, toilet and cooking facilities, for around $20 a night with breakfast. We have had a number of people stay on the airfield and complete their pilot certificate.
